Living Improvements For Everyone Program (LIFE) Self Management in Chronic Disease for Aboriginal Communities Presented by: Robert Eades, Gerry Faulkner, Kerry-Ann Winmar from the Aboriginal Health Team in the North Metro Area Health Service, Public Health & Ambulatory Care, Aboriginal Health. The LIFE program is a holistic generic model of care for the management of chronic conditions for Aboriginal communities.

Indigenous specific-drug and alcohol interventions: elements of best practice Presented by Annalee Stearn, Indigenous Australian Research Program, NDRI Curtin University. National Drug Research Institute conducted a study to identify the elements of best practice in Indigenous Alcohol and Other Drug substance misuse interventions. This presentation looked at the findings of this study and more recent evaluations were discussed.

HURT Project: A new interactive website with real stories of domestic and family violence - This project has been designed to raise awareness about the hidden devastation and family turmoil of domestic and family violence and sexcual assault confronting the shame and investigating the issues. Presented by Jackie Newbigin, Women's Council for Domestic & Family Violence Services WA.

Launch of Our Space, Safe Place : A project using art, photography and prose to communicate youth perceptions of safety in public places. This project aims to raise awareness around the importance of safety in public places by engaging young people. It also seeks to found out what can be done to make public places feel safer and how to develop spaces where young people feel valued and connected in the community. Presented by ICCWA.

Beyond Anger - MATES Men's Support Group is a grass-roots community based organisation. The impact the group has had in helping men face and overcome depression, communication, relationship and domestic violence issues throughout the south west has been overwhelming. The presentation looked at the forming of the group as well as the concept and strategies. Presented by Robert Reekie.
