MALL WALKING
ICCWA supports mall walking groups in Karrinyup, Booragoon, Armadale and Belmont WA.
The walking groups provide a free, safe, secure and friendly environment for walkers to get in some exercise and meet new people. The groups primarly target seniors, however people of all ages are welcome to attend.
Registration forms can be obtained through ICCWA on (08) 9420 7212 or from the walk leaders at the walks.

Karrinyup Shopping Centre Mall Walking Group
The Karrinyup Shopping Centre mall walking group continues to thrive after a fantastic first year. The friendly walkers ensure that new people attending the walks are welcomed warmly and enjoy their twice-weekly walks through Karrinyup Shopping Centre. Walkers meet in the centre dome area for a pre walk warm-up.
Walks are held on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8am to 9am.

Garden City Shopping Centre Mall Walking Group
The Garden City Shopping Centre mall walking group was officially launched on Friday 16th May 2003. They are about to celebrate their 5 year anniversary which is a fantastic achievement for the dedicated walk leaders!
The Walk Friendly group meets on Tuesdays and Fridays at 7.50 am at the Freedom Furniture entrance of Garden City Shopping Centre. Ready for the walk to commence at 8.00am. The walk program includes warm up and stretching exercises and a walk for a distance of 300m, 500m or 1km depending on ability. The walk finishes with cool down and stretching exercises at around 9.00am. Transport to Garden City Shopping Centre is either by individual transport, public transport or by bus through City of Melville and Melville Cares Transport.
There was an instant and overwhelming response to Walk Friendly. At the time of the launch 60 people had registered for the walks.
Take a Walk on the Wild Side at the Armadale Shopping City Mall Walking Group
The Armadale Shopping City Mall Walking program was re-launched in November 2007 following renovations to Armadale Shopping City. A newer, more vibrant atmosphere has reinvigorated the walking group, which continues to attract new walkers.
Walks are held on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 7.45am to 8.45am.
Belmont Forum Shopping Centre Mall Walking Group
The Belmont Forum Shopping Centre mall walking group is a great opportunity for older people to walk in a friendly safe and undercover environment. The group was launched in August 2005 by Cr. Glenys Godfrey Mayor of the City of Belmont.
The Walk Program includes a warm up, the walk (at your own pace and a distance that’s comfortable for you), and cool down and stretching exercises.
Walks are held every Wednesday and Friday morning at 7.45am. Walkers enter the shopping centre from the Harvey Norman entrance and meet in front of Woolworths.
