April No Falls Day 2011
Health Professionals take a stand on April No Falls Day!
April No Falls Day was held on the 1st of April 2011across Western Australia. There were over 70 events held across the state promoting the ‘no falls’ message to all staff working within health. There were 31 registered events throughout regional WA, in which many were held across multiple sites. It was great to see this year a number of GP surgeries and Aged Care Services participate in the day. Event Coordinators were provided with free resources and merchandise to help educate their staff as well as assist with their event. Staff were able to participate in a quiz where they could win a $25 Coles Myer voucher.
Members from the Stay On Your Feet® team attended events across the metropolitan area. It was fantastic to see a large interest in April No Falls Day. Some event ideas included a colour theme for the day, a seminar of health professionals or a display in the hospital foyer.
