History

The Injury Control Counctil of WA (Inc) was formed in May 1992 and is an incorporated body meeting the rules of the Associations Incorporation Act 1987.

ICCWA is governed by a Board of Directors which is elected from, and by the membership at each Annual General Meeting according to the rules of the association.  The Executive Committee oversees the business management of the Council.  The Staff of ICCWA carry out the business of the Council.

Bi-monthly meetings of the Council have been held since this time to address a range of injury issues.  The Council has been led by the following ICCWA Presidents:

Gavin Maisey (1994 – 1998)

Marilyn Lyford (2001 – 2003)

Dr Rina Cercarelli (1999 – 2001)  (2003 – 2005)

Associate Professor Richard Midford (2006 – 2008)

Chris Peck ( 2008 to present)
