A principal aim is to facilitate liaison between community agencies and groups and to work closely with government departments to improve communications between these sectors and to support research in the area of injury prevention.

Our Business

ICCWA aims to highlight physical, mental, social and economic issues that result in injuries and to advocate to address these issues.  In addition, we encourage, promote, and engage in research into the causes, prevention and treatment of injuries.

Our business does not duplicate existing injury prevention activities in Western Australia, we work in partnership with individuals and organisations involved in injury prevention at community, state and national levels to facilitate injury reduction.  ICCWA encourages collaboration amongst the WA injury prevention community to make best use of all available resources, to effectively reduce the incidence and severity of injury in Western Australia.
